First gathering of Kilmainham Arts Club a triumph

An eclectic mix of performers, from the area and further afield, made for an entertaining night at the first edition of Kilmainham Arts Club last night.

All told, about 100 people came along at some stage of the night to the Patriots Inn for the show, which included poetry, bellydancing, singing, a short film and even photography.

Well done to all involved and especially to Vawn O'Neill who put the whole thing together and mc'd proceedings effortlessly.

The next gathering of the arts club is in the same venue on Monday, October 5th. I'd advise anyone who couldn't make it there last night to come see what you missed.

Our picture shows singers Eilish and Peter Byrne, Michael O'Flanagan in front of his picture of Henry Joy McCracken (thereby hangs a tale), organiser Vawn O'Neill and Liam O'Meara.
