Vincent H29/04/2013Following the success of recent clean-ups, Inchicore Environmental Group have lined up the next two clean-ups around the village for May – dates for the diary:
- Wednesday, 8 May @ 7pm – meet at bus stop in front of Workmen's Club
- Saturday, 25 May @ 10am - meet at bus stop in front of Workmen's Club

We've been doing these clean-ups for over year and each time a few more people join so now's your chance to get involved, especially with Inchicore village’s entry this year in the Dublin City Neighbourhoods Competition.

It would be great to see you there. If you have gloves bring them along. Pickers and bags will be provided and a few pairs of spare gloves as well. It's also a nice way to get to know some more of your fellow neighbours.
Vincent H07/05/2013Hope to see as many of our regulars (and anyone else who wants to join in!) tomorrow evening for the May midweek village clean-up at 7pm. Meeting point is at the bus stop in front of the Workmen’s Club. We’ll also be using our new hi-viz vests for the first time, compliments of Expert Hardware Inchicore!

Vincent H18/07/2013The July month-end clean-up will be on Saturday morning, 27 July @ 10am. Having spruced up the village already, we’ll turn our attention to the canal again. We’ll focus on the stretch of canal bank between the Suir Road and Blackhorse Luas stops. As before for canal clean-ups, we’ll meet up at the BERA Hall, which is at the canal end of Connolly Avenue (close to the Goldenbridge Luas stop).

Pickers and bags (and of course our flashy hi-viz bibs sponsored by Expert Hardware Inchicore) will be provided and we still have a few pairs of spare gloves if you’re a new joiner. If you have previously received gloves, please bring them along.

Feel free to invite any of your friends and neighbours to come along; there’s a decent gang at this stage and it’s always nice to meet more like-minded people from the area. It would be great to see you there!

We’ll focus on the stretch of canal bank between the Suir Road and Blackhorse Luas stops again, so it would be great if you and your friends and neighbours can come along to join us for the morning outing.

Pickers and bags (and of course our flashy hi-viz bibs sponsored by Expert Inchicore Hardware) will be provided and we still have a few pairs of spare gloves if you’re a new joiner. If you have previously received gloves, please bring them along.

Vincent H23/09/2013This coming Saturday morning, 28 September, is ear-marked for our usual month-end clean-up. We will meet at the BERA hall in the Bulfin Estate - top of Connolly Avenue (close to the Goldenbridge Luas stop) – at 10am.

These mornings have turned into great outings along the canal, where we tidy things up for the benefit of our fellow residents and visitors who pass through that part of our village, followed by a cup of tea if weather permits.

It would be great to see everyone there. Feel free to also invite any of your friends and neighbours to come along!

Vincent H21/10/2013Come along for our routine month-end clean-up on the canal this coming Saturday morning, 26 October, at the usual time of 10am. We’ll start at the Bulfin Estate Residents’ Assoc (BERA) hall at the top of Connolly Avenue (close to the Goldenbridge Luas stop). Apart from tidying up along the canal, we’ll also progress a bit of painting started at the previous canal clean-up.

Please do not shy if you haven’t come along to these mornings before. Feel free to show up, bring a friend if you want, and join the rest of us for a bit of banter!
Vincent H04/11/2013The midmonth clean-up for November will be this Saturday, 9 November, at 10am. As before, we’ll meet up at the Workman’s Club on Emmet Road from where we’ll divide into teams to tackle as much of the streets in Inchicore village as we can.

Vincent H25/11/2013Come along on Saturday morning, 30 November, for the month-end clean-up, starting at 10am at the usual spot, the BERA Hall - top of Connolly Avenue (close to the Goldenbridge Luas stop).

Despite the mornings getting crispier by the day, we seem to have managed to keep a willing group of volunteers enthused, so feel free to join in - many hands and all. If all goes well there should be a cup of tea at the end of the session too.
