youths around eurospar
|Clyde.||07/12/2012||Came across this review re; a tourist experience in Inchicore. Is this an ongoing problem?|
We stayed in this apartment for 10 days in October and overall, we enjoyed our stay.
But, we did have an incident with some young people just outside the apartment. Three street kids surrounded us and taunted us, all the while attempting to grab my wife's purse. Seemingly these are "Traveller Kids" who live in the area, and they are harmless. Eventually, we went into a nearby shop and a local who saw what happened, called the Garda (police). The shopkeeper said these kids have become a problem in the Inchcore area, both to businesses and tourists. Interestingly, this view was supported by two cab drivers and several other local shopkeepers as well.
So, very nice apartment, but you may want to consider using cabs to and from the apartment during the evening. This is what we did, and we had no further incidents.

Lost count the amount of times these feral kids have broken the door to the apartment building by kicking dowtn the door. We have had to kick them out of the building too. Overall the are so aggressive it is scary to think what they will be like in a couple of years. They loiter around until 11pm-where are|

The Kilmainham police are well aware and have advised all residents of apts especially in spa road to contact them as they can only do something when you lodge a complaint. Michael Conaughton TD Leinster House has had quite a few meetings with regard to this, so please contact him also.|
