|Alice Ryan||15/02/2011||Habitat for humanity Ireland are delighted to be beginning a new renovation project on Emmet Road, Inchicore, in partnership with Dublin City Council. We are now seeking families to partner with us to become homeowners.|
Four derelict homes will be renovated to allow low income families from the Dublin City Council housing list an opportunity to purchase their own home. The project entails two three bedroom homes and two one bedroom homes.
Applicants are evaluated on (3) criteria:
1.) Need – must be on the Dublin City Council Housing List and have a link to Inchicore.
2.) Ability to re-pay a small, low interest mortgage which Habitat for Humanity Ireland will support you in applying for.
3.) Willingness to partner with Habitat and contribute “sweat equity” volunteer hours into the home. No construction experience is required as all training will be provided on site by professionals.
