Festival workshops booking up fast!

Our next major event is the Arts Festival Saturday September 3rd and 4th. a full line-up will be e mailed to you next week. This e mail is to give you the opportunity people the opportunity to book workshops which are limited in place, they all take place on Saturday 4th September:


Childrenís Art workshops led by Fionnuala Hanahoe and Martina Galvin, two visual artists who are based in the Red Stables Artists Studios. The focus is on a really engaging, enjoyable time. Funded by Dublin City Councilís Arts Office.
12 to 1pm - 5 to 8 year olds
2 to 3pm - 7 to 12 year olds.
3.15pm to 4.15pm - 7 to 12 year olds.

Adult's Art workshops.
Talented artist Cora Buckley will host drawing workshops, they are around the themes of face drawing, and weather permitting, a landscape drawing crawl. They will take place inside the Imma studio or on the lovely grounds of Imma. They are open to all and we provide the materials. Cora will cover some basics of drawing and is aiming this workshop at anyone who wants to draw but thinks they can't or wants to draw but is rusty! Cora is a tutor with many years empowering people through art in Adult Education.
they will run from 12 - 1, 2 - 3, 3- 4pm


12PM - 1PM "THE ART OF EMBODIMENT" - How to live happily in our bodies.
Accomplished Yoga Teacher and Artist Paola Catizone will host a movement workshop which is for everyone who enjoys getting touch with their bodies to free their creative spirit, promote healing and a sense of wholeness.
Robert Doyle, musician and wonderful singer, will teach one or two traditional Irish songs based on a style of singing which is natural and open.Time permitting he will cover one fast and one slow song. This is open to "non-singers" also!
1PM - 2.30PM "KRUMP - Hip Hop WORKSHOP"
The Tone, Hip Hop dancer extraordinaire and tutor of the art, will teach Krump, a hugely popular Hip Hop style in a fun workshop for all with great music.

3pm - 4pm "TRIBAL BASICS"
Dee of The Zoryanna Tribal Bellydancedance troupe will teach a workshop aimed at beginners to get a feel for this collective, improvised dance form, fun and enlivening!
5PM - 6PM "Gypsy Dance"
Get ready for some saucy,Gypsy burlesque dance moves in this workshop hosted by burlesque and fusion belly dance teacher Monique. Sassy, Sexy and full of va va voom!
Brian Flemming, advanced percussionist and drum tutor and performer, will host an African Drum Circle workshop outside the Kilmainham Courthouse Plaza opposite the Hilton. Drums are provided.Funded by Dublin City Councilís Arts Office.
8PM - 9.30PM "DANCE EVENT" Hilton Hotel
Maria Hayden, qualified Dancing The Rainbow tutor, will lead a five-Rhythms inspired dance journey, which is open to all. It's not about being able to dance, it's about exploring elements through movement in a relaxed and ambient atmosphere with great music, both men and women - try it and see!
So that lots of people can benefit from the experience of the Festival Workshops we have made them free with a suggested donation of Ä5.
The tutors are all excellent and we are confident you will really enjoy the experience.
None of the workshops require prior experience, just an open mind and a sense of fun!
