vawn corrigan06/10/2009Thanks to all who came to last nights Kilmainham Arts Club in the Patriots Inn. It was a great night and thanks for your suppport. The evening started with Johnny K talking about the art of being a clown and showing images of clowning for Unicef in war zones (as healing for kids) Blues Music from Nial Dooley and his friend Simon harmonizing and playing together, local artist Enda Flynn showed her amazing paintings and art film, talented Cormac Figgis showed his photographs, local poet and legend Michael O'Flanagan delighted us with his poems, local artist Paola Catizone showed her vibrant paintings on the body and a short film on transgender, Bella a go-go performed a comedy burlesque number and the evening was topped with Leo O'Kelly playing his unique, dreamy sounds in a wonderful set of old and new numbers. there was about 100 people there in the night and a lovely, friendly atmosphere. the next one is Monday nov 2nd and the line up still has some spaces if you or anyone you know wishes to contribute. hope to see you there!
