Kilmainham Arts Club june fourth

Hi everyone! This month's Arts Club takes place on Bank Holiday Monday June 4th at 8.30pm in The Patriots Inn, Kilmainham. It is alive and abuzz to kick off our Summer season. The musical comedy duo Jaffa Cakes will tickle your funnybone, walking that fine line between control and utter chaos, employing the harp and keyboard, they promise to bring a fresh, new comedy jig to your step. In Spoken Word we have two original poets: Maeve O'Sullivan will share her beautiful Haiku poetry with a summer theme and Daniel Wade, a young upcoming poet, will read his new work. Cornelius Gunning, Ballyfermot author of Vengeance Is Mine will present his successful novel 2+2=? We have diverse visual arts for you to enjoy: Sarah Wiegersma is a design graduate from the National College of Art and Design, where she specialised in Ceramics. Her studio is currently based in the West of Ireland and she draws inspiration from natural plant forms, specifically fractals in nature. West Cork based artist David Bickley talented musician, filmmaker and multimedia artist will show some of his most popular visual artworks.Cartoonist and illustrator Donal Casey - will be returning to show a selection of illustrations which he did for the Irish-language children’s book Dhá Chluas Capaill ar Labhraí Loingseach, published by Cló Mhaigh Eo: Renowned Dublin based graffiti and street artist Fink will show samples of some of his recent work from around the streets of Dublin, he hopes to enlighten the audience about the future possibilities of Irish street art which he is passionate about. Song Central's storehouse of vocal talent will engage the audience with evocative songs. Musically we present an all-Ireland champion award winning accordion player Colin Gibbons who will play some traditional tunes. Rev. JM's Panic Worship Dublin's original alternative gothic, jazzabilly fusion combo will end the night with their unique sound.
